Town of Coronation – 2022 Municipal By-Elections

Municipal elections are held every four years where residents must elect five Councillors to a four-year term. This number has been changed due to the passing of the “Reduction in the numbers of Councilors,” Bylaw 2020-677 that reduced the number of elected officials to five from the previous number of seven. The Mayor is elected amongst the newly elected official at the Organizational Meeting of Council after the elections have concluded.

In the Town of Coronation, Council members are elected at large which means the Mayor and Councillors represent the entire population rather than a geographical ward. On May 2, 2022, is the Municipal By-Election for the position ONE COUNCILLOR.
